She has a  high, intermediate level in Spanish, which she has been learning on her own and practicing it for  three years and continues to practice it daily.  She believes that in order to improve in a language, one has to practice all four skills, reading,  writing, listening, and speaking.  She believes that a classroom should be more of an interactive, learning environment that encourages positive social interactions among all students and teachers.  She believes that a student  will improve much faster by engaging in conversations and practicing all their skills in the language every day, even if they are in short increments of time.

Her hobbies for the last three years  include traveling to Spain every year.  She also loves teaching her seven-year-old daughter Spanish and hopes to take her there on one of  her trips to learn and experience another culture in person.
